Car Dealer’s judges, including event host Mike Brewer, narrowed thousands of nominations down to this list. They looked at online reviews, Autotrader and Google rankings, and what customers have said about each business.
The nominees
- Acklam Cars is up for Specialist Used Car Dealership, Social Media User and Use of Video. That’s three nominations for the prestige and performance specialist.
- Will Blackshaw of Blackshaws is up for Dealers’ Dealer. The Alnwick and Morpeth dealer has been in the family since 1919.
- Hippo Motor Group is up for Used Car Customer Care: Car Supermarket. Hippo specialises in approved used cars and car finance.
- Sam Luscombe of Luscombe’s Leeds is up for Dealers’ Dealer. Luscombe’s sells Suzuki, MG, Omoda and Jaecoo in Leeds.
- Will Woodhouse of Sandicliffe is up for Future Star. Sandicliffe is an AM100 multi-franchise group across Nottingham, Leicester and Loughborough.
- Saxtons is up for Used Car Online Sales Experience. The Chelmsford dealer specialises in used Land Rovers, SUVs and luxury cars.
What happens next
Everyone on the list now goes through to mystery shopping. Car Dealer’s judges may call, email or visit, and mystery shopping can also happen on a dealer’s own website.
The judges then draw up the shortlist, due later this month. The winners will be announced at The Brewery in London on 30 November.
